What is CrateSeek?
An iPhone app for crate digging. It plays one real record at a time from a catalog of more than 40,000, with the genre, year, country, label and YouTube views on screen, so you can decide fast and keep what’s worth it.
Can I use what I find as samples?
CrateSeek helps you find source material. It doesn’t download, extract, sell or license samples: records play from their YouTube source. Always make sure you have the right permissions before you use music in your own work.
Is CrateSeek free?
Yes. Free includes unlimited discovery, up to 50 likes, every filter including obscurity, and Dig deeper by artist, label and release. CrateSeek Pro adds unlimited likes, Crates, For You, More like this, notes and filter presets.
How does Pro work?
Pro is a weekly or yearly subscription through your Apple Account, priced in your currency inside the app. The yearly plan starts with a free trial, and you can cancel anytime in your App Store settings.
Where does the music come from?
Every record in the catalog comes with details from Discogs and a verified, playable YouTube source. CrateSeek plays it inside the app, and one tap opens it on YouTube.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start digging. Sign in with Apple when you want your likes and Crates to follow you across reinstalls and devices.
Does For You use AI?
No. For You counts what you like, crate and listen to, matches it against the catalog’s genres, styles, eras and labels, and mixes in random picks so it never closes into a bubble.
Is CrateSeek on Android?
No. CrateSeek is made for iPhone.
